Lindsay + Jared: A September Wedding at Jonathan Edwards Winery
These two are way high on the list of awesome “how they met” stories–Lindsay was in veterinary school, and Jared went along with a buddy to her “vet prom”–yes, that’s an actual thing!
Lindsay says,”We were introduced by friends, did some dancing, had some drinks, and that was that! Jared stuck with me through almost all of veterinary school, which was a very difficult time, and after my graduation we bought a house together. There it was.”
The two of them love to entertain and host friends and family, so a gathering at the elegant Jonathan Edwards Winery was a perfect fit.
The kind of day that thrills wedding couples AND their photographers, it was blue skies and puffy clouds all day long.
Surrounded by florals from A Gala Affair, the ladies dressed in the gorgeous bridal suite at Jonathan Edwards Winery, with views of the vines and peeks at the arriving guests from the sun-soaked room.
Lindsay made her ensemble all hers, with a practical and pretty change of shoes for her vineyard wedding: white and silver sparkly Sperry boat shoes!
Dressed in navy and with floral accents in coral, the ladies were ready!
Before the ceremony, Lindsay and Jared arranged for a “first look” in the vines. This private moment was the perfect moment to honor the day ahead, and see each other without their families and friends looking on. Taking time for the first look meant lots of time for family photos before the ceremony, so that they could enjoy their cocktail hour with friends and family.
Late summer blooms welcomed them at the ceremony site in the vines. One of the last sunflowers beamed down on them that day.
Grandma came over for a quick squeeze with Jared and his brother before the ceremony, and then the ceremony began.
Dramatic clouds were the perfect backdrop to their picture-perfect ceremony.
Afterwards, they toasted in the vines before joining their friends and family for the party!
Gorgeous table scapes and florals by A Gala Affair of Mystic.
Yummy bites from Morins Fine Catering of Rhode Island.
Jared made the owls himself, on a 3-D printer! Later, they perched atop the wedding cake.
After their first dance, they were feted by loving family members and lots of toasting!
Once the party got started, their guests never stopped dancing til the last song!
Happy love, Lindsay and Jared! Wishing you so much happiness in your future!
