Meaghan + David: Married in Bedford, NY
This, my dears, was SUCH a special wedding for me. While our bride and groom have their own story together, my part of the story starts way back in a time that our lovely bride can’t even remember—I was a teenager and I was her babysitter.
Fast forward more years than any of us can count, and I happily reconnected with her wonderful parents while making arrangements for wedding photography and blinking in disbelief at the gorgeous young woman that former toddler had become.
As for our bride and groom, were on the same NY co-ed kickball team the spring of 2012. Meaghan first became interested in David after witnessing those smooth, high powered kickball skills. After winning their championship, the team walked down to the water for a group picture. David slyly edged closer and closer to Meaghan for their first picture together. David asked Meaghan on their first “official” date to Central Park for a picnic, and then brought her back to the exact spot one year later to propose.
Meaghan got ready at home with her girls and some of her favorite furry friends surrounding her–makeup artistry by mom.

The most classic and beautiful bride of all time.
One of my favorite moments all day!
This pup followed his people all along the fence as the family left for the church.

The reception was held in the green rolling hills of Northern Westchester at beautiful North Salem Golf Club.
It’s a rare moment when I post a photo of myself from the wedding in the client blog post! But this was an extra special photo for me–posing with Meaghan’s family, and with their cousins—my other favorite babysitting clients and their fantastic parents. My dear Drew and Jayne are now impossibly grown up and lovely, but I remember them so clearly as a toddler and his brand new baby sister. I’m sure they love hearing that from someone they don’t even remember!
Meaghan and David shared some exciting news with their guests, and it was so much fun to see everyone erupt into hugs and laughter for their good fortune.
It was a truly memorable summer night, and I was honored and delighted to be part of it and to reconnect with these fantastic families. Happy love, Meaghan and Dave!
And a very special thank you to my associate and expert llama-photographer, Julia and to my dear friend Bruce for sharing their name with me when he was unavailable!
