Food Friday: Candlewax?
Between Henry’s molars (I get it! You are erupting! Thank you!) work, out-of-state travel, early sunrises and a few other things, I’ve been burning the candle on both ends so badly this week that I think they just met in the middle.
Which is another way of saying I have nothing much for you today. I do have embarrassing 1990s photos of me next week for you lovely March of Dimes donors (I didn’t forget!) and some other new photos, and I did get some video of one of my children that I should be ashamed of encouraging, but will post anyway, but for today? Nothing. I took my own advice and had a hot chocolate this morning, and may need another this afternoon. In an IV.
I do have a question for you all, though.
How many of you are on Twitter? You know, one of the “fastest growing phenomena on the Internet” according to the NY Times? I see lots of my blogger friends there and only one of my real-life friends. I’m still not sure where I sit on it, but I like parts of it and can see some really interesting uses for it in the future. If you are on Twitter, leave your info in the comments!
And if anyone wants to come over and get up with Henry at 5:50 tomorrow morning? Let me know and I’ll leave you a spare key. Kthanxbai.

Feel free to drop Henry off with us. At least two of us will be up then.

Don’t you dare drag me into Twitter! I have been carefully avoiding it – I really don’t need another online addiction! But I feel my defenses wearing down….
Luke, my puppy, would be more than happy to entertain Henry at that hour. In fact, Luke is usually up at 5:30. Luke loves to give kisses, so Henry wouldn’t even need a bath!
I feel you ‘meet in the middle’ pain. IV hot chocolate. Now there’s an idea. I usually skip straight to the IV champagne π I am with Christina on the online addictions………….
Anna~
It was one of those weeks all around!!! We are usually up 5/5:30 am with Ms. Erin…we could have a party….your house or ours???
Henry should hang out down here with me: if I am not in the car by 6:03 it’s going to be a bad day!

twitter — eh. i signed up a while ago so i could “follow” some people i know in real life and from blogs, but i have never “twittered” or “tweeted” or whatever. i forgot about it for a while, but in the past few weeks, several blogs that i read have added twitter to their sidebars, so i guess it’s getting more popular. i am not sold on it yet. i don’t think i need quite that much information about people’s lives.
well, you already know i am there tweeting my little heart out. π
I just started “tweetering”. Don’t know if I like it or not yet. Love your picture of the burning candle. That just about wraps up my life of late. angie
forget twitter… I have a new favorite email sign off! love “Kthanxbai” π
I don’t know much about it… and I don’t need another addiction! I am a Hold Out, and I am okay with that! π
Is it 5:50 there yet? Because I am still awake…
Hope you had a great (restful) weekend!
I’m not on Twitter. I’m trying, very hard, not to be on Twitter. Because my relationship with Twitter has gone from, “Well, that’s stupid,” to, “Hey, that’s kinda cool,” to “Hey, what has so-and-so posted recently?” to “Really, now what could it hurt?” and we all know where that leads…
But, I just found this rather brilliant essay about Twitter, and what it really means, especially for freelancers who don’t work in a regular office – I thought you might be interested:

(BTW, Anna, what are these pretty little icons by all our names? That’s much nicer than the blank “face” I see on a lot of other blogs!)
I am so not going there with Twitter! I spend enough time online thankyouverymuch. I heard about it when it was in Beta and looked it up and it never really looked that interesting giving someone a play by play of my day. I have my blog for that. π
