Diana + Chris: A spring backyard wedding

The Darling Tarlings are married! Diana and Chris, hashtagged #darlingtarling by their friends and family, were married at Diana’s family home on the coast of Connecticut this spring. With a dashing groom from England and a lovely native New England bride, these two created a wedding to remember for their guests from both sides of the Atlantic.

The shores of Southport, CT welcomed our couple and their guests, and this festive view of the harbor added to the lovely blue and orange classic decor of their tented reception.

Vibrant pinks and oranges appeared all around the property to celebrate the day.

Diana’s “something old” was this antique prayer book from her side of the family.

Meanwhile, Chris and his gents dressed at the Southport Delamar, complete with Arsenal socks and Tring beer, hand carried from the UK by Chris’ mum and dad. 

The impeccable care and coordination by Rosinne Chlala of Fairfield County’s Festivities Events was evident everywhere.

Diana and Chris were married at Southport’s Trinity Episcopal Church, and attended by an adorable set of ring bearers, as well as their wedding party. The service was conducted by a dear family friend.

After the ceremony, we took a few moments for portraits at the beach. (Not pictured, the awestruck five-year-old beach comber who was captivated by our bride and groom.)

Not only did the rain hold off for this backyard wedding celebration, the sun even peeked out for a few moments at just the right time! As the music wound down, the guests gathered outside (the rain held off!) to bid Diana and Chris farewell with dozens of sparklers.
