Daisy + Mike: Married at Saltwater Farm Vineyard

You probably know the age-old English children’s song…
“Daisy, Daisy, give me your answer do, I’m half crazy all for the love of you.
It won’t be a stylish marriage, I can’t afford a carriage.
But you’ll look sweet, Upon the seat, Of a bicycle made for two.”
But did you know in the second verse, Daisy marries a boy named Michael?!
Daisy and Mike met at Northeastern University in Boston through a mutual friend, but didn’t start dating until years later. Mike graduated two years ahead of Daisy, but was still living in Boston when they reconnected right before my senior year. They started dating, and when Daisygraduated later that year, they moved together to seek their next adventure in NYC, where they still live today. Five years later, they were engaged!
These two are SO clearly head over heels for each other. Mike can hardly narrow down all his favorite things about Daisy, but says, “I love how kind she is, and she always puts other people first.” Daisy obviously feels the same way, saying, “I love how he can talk to anyone, how he lights up a room with his funny jokes, how he loves my sisters as if they were his own, how he embraces my large family and never complains, how driven he is, how wonderful his group of friends is and how long their friendships have endured.”
Together they love travel, Asian food, curritos—especially from Anna’s Taqueria in Boston, all Boston sports—especially the New England Patriots, comedy movies, Martha’s Vineyard, J. Crew, having fresh flowers in their apartmen, ice cream of all sorts, making pizza every night, lobster rolls and pickles—they even pickle in their apartment! (I am a pickle-lover, too–I was very excited to hear this, I’m hoping I get a favorite recipe from them!)
The two of them gathered their dear friends and family close on a glorious day in early May for their romantic and rustic chic Stonington wedding at Saltwater Farm Vineyard. With expert planning by Nightingale Events, brilliant florals from Hana Floral Designs, lighting by Ryan Designs and a delicious farm-to-table beautifully presented by A Thyme to Cook, their day went off beautifully. Their guests danced into the night with the amazing sounds of Night Rhythym with the stars above their beautiful seaside reception.
And of course, their gathered loved ones sang for them…”Daisy, Daisy…” But no one wondered what her answer would be!
Happy love, Daisy and Mike!
